A virtual card is a Visa or Mastercard card that exists only in an app. It has a card number, an expiry date and a CVV like a plastic card, and you see them in the app and enter them when you pay online. You can also add a virtual card to Apple Pay or Google Pay and pay with your phone in shops.
Rumto issues virtual cards in its app in a few minutes. You pay for them and top them up from your Rumto wallet, which you fund with crypto.

None of the cards has a monthly fee. There is a one-time issue fee and a fee on each card top-up.
How to get a virtual card
- Top up your Rumto wallet with crypto.
- Pass verification: a phone number for Visa E-commerce, or an ID document (passport or driving licence) and a selfie for the other cards.
- Open the Cards tab, choose a card and tap Buy.
- Check the price and terms. If you have a promo code, enter it now, before you pay.
- Tap Confirm payment.
The card appears in the Cards tab right away, with its number, expiry date and CVV. Top it up and start paying.
Cards don’t work inside countries with restrictions. You’ll see the list in the app before you buy.
Virtual card vs physical card
A virtual card has no plastic. You pay online with its details and in shops through Apple Pay or Google Pay. It can’t be used to withdraw cash at an ATM, and it has no PIN code.

Is a virtual card a debit or a credit card?
A Rumto card works like a prepaid debit card: you top it up first and pay with that balance. There is no credit limit.
Can I get a virtual card instantly?
The card is ready in the app as soon as you pay the issue fee. Verification usually takes a few minutes.
Can I get a card without an ID document?
Yes, Visa E-commerce is verified by phone number only.
