Online stores and booking sites take Visa and Mastercard, so a Rumto virtual card works for them. You fund it from your Rumto wallet, which you top up with crypto.
Which card works where
| Service | Visa E-commerce | Visa Universe | Mastercard Business |
|---|---|---|---|
| AliExpress | Yes | Not restricted | Not restricted |
| Booking.com, Airbnb and hotels | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| PayPal | Not restricted | Yes | Yes |
“Yes” means the service is on the card’s list of supported services. “Not restricted” means it isn’t on the restriction list but isn’t confirmed either.
For AliExpress and other Chinese marketplaces, Visa E-commerce is the confirmed option (see How to pay in China as a foreigner for Taobao, Pinduoduo, TEMU and more). For bookings, any of the three cards works. For PayPal, use Visa Universe or Mastercard Business (details).
How to pay
- Get the card in the Rumto app.
- Top up your wallet with crypto and move funds to the card.
- At checkout, enter the card number, expiry date and CVV. The site may ask you to confirm the payment with a code: see What is 3-D Secure.
Cards don’t work inside countries with restrictions. You’ll see the list in the app before you buy a card.
